Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-30
In short
- Camthis is provided by Carmack AB, Sweden.
- If you film an event, you are responsible for what you record and for telling the people you film.
- Your recordings stay yours. We only use them to run Camthis for you.
- If you record at someone else's event, your recordings are shared with that event's organiser, who may use them.
- Anything you publish can be watched by anyone with the link.
- The service is provided as it is, and Swedish law applies.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use Camthis: the Camthis iOS app, the web app at go.camthis.live and the website camthis.live. Camthis is provided by Carmack AB, c/o Knackeriet, S:t Paulsgatan 25, 118 48 Stockholm, Sweden ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Camthis you accept these terms. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
If you have a separate written agreement with us, for example for a paid event, that agreement takes precedence where it differs from these terms.
2. The service
Camthis lets you stream and record an event with several phone cameras at once, switch between camera angles while it is live, and afterwards create highlights and multi-angle moments that can be shared by link. We develop Camthis continuously, so features may be added, changed or removed.
3. Your account
- You sign in with Sign in with Apple or with an email address and password.
- Give correct information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- If you create or join an organisation, other members of that organisation can see and work with its events and recordings.
- You must be old enough to enter into an agreement on your own.
4. Organisers: recording people
When you use Camthis to film an event, you are responsible for the recording. You may only record what you have a legal right to record, and you are responsible for having the permissions and consents needed from the people you film and from the venue. In particular you must:
- have the right to film at the venue and event, and to stream and share what you film,
- inform the people who take part that the event is filmed, streamed and may be shared,
- obtain consent where the law requires it, and from a parent or guardian when children are filmed,
- respect people who do not want to be filmed or shared, and act on requests to remove them,
- have the rights to music and other material that can be heard or seen in the stream.
Camthis does not currently collect consent for you. If someone asks us to remove a recording of them, we may contact you and may remove the material.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Camthis to:
- record or share anything illegal, or anything that violates someone else's rights,
- film people in private situations without their consent, such as changing rooms or toilets,
- harass, threaten or expose anyone,
- share sexual content, or any content that sexualises or exploits children,
- try to get into accounts, recordings or systems that are not yours, or disrupt the service,
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.
We may remove illegal recordings or other content, and suspend or close accounts, at our discretion and without prior notice. Illegal activity or use, including any content that sexualises or exploits children, may be reported to the appropriate authorities, such as the police.
6. Your content
You (or your organisation) keep the rights to what you record. You give us the right to store, process, transmit and show your recordings, to the extent needed to provide Camthis to you and to the viewers you share with. We do not use your recordings for marketing without asking you first.
Recording at someone else's event
You can join an event that someone else organises, for example by scanning its QR code or entering its code, and record it with your phone. When you do:
- the recordings you make there are uploaded to that event and shared with its organiser, and with the members of the organiser's organisation,
- you give the organiser a non-exclusive, free right to store, edit, combine with other recordings, publish and share those recordings in connection with the event and the organiser's own communication about it,
- you keep your own rights to your recordings, and you can see and download them in your account,
- you can ask us at any time to stop sharing a recording with the organiser. Copies the organiser has already published or passed on may not be recallable.
Other participants who record at the same event cannot see your recordings, and you cannot see theirs, unless the organiser publishes them.
When you publish a moment or highlight, anyone with the link can watch it and pass the link on. Only publish what you are allowed to share. Copies that someone has already downloaded cannot be recalled.
7. Our rights
Camthis, its software, design and brand belong to Carmack AB. These terms give you the right to use the service, not to own any part of it.
8. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using Camthis at any time and request deletion of your account in the app (Profile, Manage account, Request account removal). We delete it within 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may remove content, suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect people or the service. For illegal content or use we may do this without prior notice (see section 5); otherwise, where it is reasonable, we will tell you first.
- If we shut down Camthis, we will give account holders reasonable notice so they can download their recordings.
9. No warranty
Live streaming depends on phones, batteries, mobile networks and Wi-Fi that we do not control. Camthis is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that a stream or a recording will always work, be uninterrupted, or be complete. For important events, keep your own backup.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Carmack AB is not liable for indirect losses, such as lost revenue, lost recordings, or loss of an event that could not be streamed. Our total liability towards you is limited to the amount you have paid us for Camthis in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders in the app or by email before it applies. If you keep using Camthis after that, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes are settled by a Swedish general court. If you are a consumer, you may also turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), www.arn.se.
